The project had as general objective the rehabilitation and modernization of the infrastructure and public spaces in the historic center of the city (urban site "Cetatea Timișoara"), part of the historical cultural heritage of national and universal value, in order to improve the quality of urban services and of the attractiveness of the Timișoara Growth Pole, having as effect the stimulation of the socio-economic development.
The project aims to increase the tourist attractiveness of the resort of national interest Bușteni by rehabilitating the central area of the city. The restoration of the center leads to the realization of several points of interest, destined to the different typologies of activities that to ensure a better use of the urban framework.
The revitalization of the Butchers' Bastion consisted in arranging the spaces with a double function: demonstration workshops for folk craftsmen and exhibition stands selling traditional products.
To achieve these priorities, this project provides for rehabilitation works of the fortress, rehabilitation works of the road system and drinking water supply networks, domestic and storm sewerage, public lighting system and electricity.
