We are looking for a colleague to fill the role of Resident Engineer – Reșita, Caraș-Severin county
Area: Caraș-Severin County / West Region
City of work: Reșița, Moldova Nouă, Anina and Teregova
The project consists of investments for the treatment and distribution of water and the collection and purification of waste water that will be implemented for Caraș-Severin County / Western Region, in urban and rural areas, and which will result in the connection to these systems of all citizens in these areas and compliance with the provisions of the relevant EU directives.
Resident Engineer Requirements:
- Higher studies completed with a bachelor’s degree or its equivalent in the fields of hydrotechnical / civil constructions / installations / environmental engineering;
- General knowledge of computer operation in MS Word and Excel;
- General professional experience of at least 5 years;
- Participation as a Resident Engineer (or equivalent or higher positions in terms of responsibilities) in the supervision of at least 3 (three) works contracts at the level of which similar supervision/surveillance/follow-up activities have been carried out for works contracts (execution and / or design and execution) related to an investment objective in the field of medium infrastructure.
Job description:
- Administers and carries out the specific activities described by the clauses of the works contracts within the limits of the delegation of authority issued by the Team Leader. The delegation of authority does not exclude the need to obtain the Beneficiary’s approval when it is expressly required by the contract;
In this sense, the Contracting Entity estimates that the expert in this category fulfills the following responsibilities, at the level of the work contract(s) assigned to the expert:
- It will ensure the management of supervision services;
- Will participate in the meetings with the Contractor/s and the Beneficiary;
- It will ensure the application of the procedures from the Supervision Procedures Manual at the level of the designated supervision team;
- He will perform, together with the supervision team, the tasks that refer to the measurement of the works and the certification to the payment to the Contractor;
- It will draw up the reports requested by the service contract;
- He will analyze, notify the Contractor about possible non-conformities and approve the execution program; will monitor and report actual progress against approved program provisions;
- Will issue instructions to the Contractor for the submission of proposals to accelerate the pace of work execution in situations when it is too slow or below the planned level
- Will verify the Contractor’s execution procedures;
- He will receive information from the Contractor regarding the completion of the works and the availability of reception;
- He will participate in the testing of the works;
- He will participate in the preparation of the Construction Technical Book;
- Will participate in the verification of the “as-built” documentation prepared by the Contractor;
- Certifies the payments to the Contractor based on the work statements and the supporting documents submitted by him, in accordance with the provisions of the works contract;
- Will organize the inspection of the works during the defect notification period;
- Attend the completion reception and the final reception;
- The resident engineer will be permanently present in the area of the assigned work contract(s) throughout the duration of the service contract, with intermittent presence during the warranty period.
