On May 10, 2017, the final reception related to the objective “Closing the non-compliant landfill in Ploiești” within the project “Integrated waste management system in Prahova County” took place.
The executed works were co-financed from the European Regional Development Fund through SOP Environment 2007 – 2013.
The closure of the non-compliant landfill in Ploiești led both to the rehabilitation and restoration of nature of an area of 31 hectares of land, and to the elimination of the risk of environmental pollution due to the possible entrainment of household waste stored on the river Teleajen, during rainfall important.
The total value of the investment was 19,926,609.24 lei.
Romair Consulting had the quality of Consultant, preparing the “Master Plan” related to the project “Integrated waste management system in Prahova county” and the financing application, which led to the signing of the financing contract with the total value of 203,238,610.37 lei, concluded between the Prahova County Council and the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change. The contract was signed in February 2013. Also, Romair Consulting had the quality of designer, elaborating the Technical Project and the awarding documentation, providing also the technical assistance services from the designer during the execution period of the works.
The efforts made by the company’s team of engineers over a period of 7 years were completed for these received investments. Thus, we are glad to see that the 31 hectares covered by the old “landfill” have been reintroduced into the natural circuit.
