The Glina Wastewater Treatment Plant project has captured the attention of the international community
being nominated for the prestigious award for the best environmental project in wastewater treatment worldwide. This outstanding project has been shortlisted for the prestigious 2024 edition of the Global Water Awards, a recognition of efforts and commitment to innovation and high standards in the field of environmental protection and water resource management.
The Glina Treatment Plant has become a model of excellence in the field of wastewater treatment, managing to offer efficient and sustainable solutions to protect the environment and ensure superior water quality. By adopting advanced technologies and innovative practices, the project demonstrated that it is possible to achieve responsible management of water resources, thus contributing to the conservation of ecosystems and improving the quality of life. The work was carried out by Aqualia and FCC Construcción, while the Suez group was responsible for the construction of the sludge incinerator. Technical support and work supervision services were provided by Romair Consulting and Hill International.
