The Targoviste swimming tourist complex ensures the optimal development of sports activities in the city of Târgoviște, the preparation of performance teams, representative teams, emphasizing the harmonious development of young people by practicing this sport. The complex is also intended for the general public, and the optimal interval for alternating public access with that of athletes will be chosen. The operation of the Târgoviște Olympic Swimming Complex corresponds to the prescriptions of F.R.P. (Romanian Polo Federation) and F.I.N.A. (International Amateur Swimming Federation), the pools operating in a “water gloss” system, controlled by perimeter gutters.
Within the project, the necessary infrastructure was created to offer, both tourists and locals, a wide range of leisure and relaxation services by building a functional swimming pool during the summer (incorporating 3 pools, landscaped beach, water slides), a pool indoor that can be used throughout the year, three tennis courts for leisure, two mini-football fields, a basketball court, locker rooms and outdoor facilities (green spaces, parking, playgrounds, bicycle area and role etc).
