On December 23, 2019, the financing contract for the “Water and wastewater infrastructure development project from Buzău county, in the period 2014 – 2020” takes place, which will be financed through the Infrastructure Operational Program Mare 2014-2020 (POIM).
This takes place at the headquarters of the Ministry of European Funds, in the presence of Minister Ioan Marcel Boloș, the president of the Buzău County Council, as well as the team that made this possible, respectively the representatives of AM POIM, of Companiei de Apa S.A. Buzău and the Consulting team.
The project has an estimated value of 347,497,947 Euro (current prices, including VAT), of which, water supply 143,099,655 Euro and wastewater 204,398,292 Euro.
The project aims to increase the level of collection and treatment of urban wastewater, as well as the degree of ensuring the drinking water supply of the population with the following measures:
- Infrastructure related to drinking water supply systems:
- water sources (new) 57 pcs;
- water sources (rehabilitation) 4 pcs;
- an adduction (new) 103 km;
- an adduction (rehabilitation) 17 km;
- chlorination stations (new) 18 pcs;
- Voetin and Grebanu water treatment plants (new) 2 pcs;
- water treatment plants Jgheab (Manzalesti), Valea Ramnicului and Chiojdu (rehabilitation) 3 pcs;
- pumping stations (new) 45 pcs;
- pumping stations (rehabilitation) 2 pcs;
- storage tank (new) 15 pcs;
- storage tanks (rehabilitation) 9 pcs;
- drinking water distribution network (new) 143 km;
- drinking water distribution network (rehabilitated) 89 km;
- a discharge km in the emissary / drainage water wash 4 km;
- Infrastructure related to wastewater systems:
- a sewerage network (new) 436 km;
- a sewerage network (rehabilitated) 5 km;
- a discharge pipe (new) 82 km;
- a 16 km collector;
- domestic wastewater pumping stations (new) 169 pcs;
- domestic wastewater pumping stations (rehabilitation) 3 pcs;
- wastewater treatment plants that serve agglomerations under 10,000 p.e – 4 pcs (Puiesti – SEAU noua 3,302 p.e, Coltu Pietrii – SEAU noua 3,056 p.e, Beceni – proposed extension 2,394 p.e and Cislau – proposed extension 3,886 p.e);
- a retention basin in the SEAU Ramnicu Sarat site 1 piece;
- a dehydrated sludge drying and carbonization installation (in the existing SEAU Buzau site) 1 piece;
By financing and implementing this project, Buzău County ensures compliance with the provisions of Directive 98/83 / EC regarding water quality by expanding / rehabilitating water supply systems in localities in the county, as well as compliance with the provisions of Directive 91/271 / EEC by improving the collection and treatment of wastewater from agglomerations of more than 2,000 equivalent inhabitants.
Romair Consulting as Association Leader and Consultant prepared the “Financing Application” related to the project, thus leading to the signing of the financing contract. The efforts made by the company’s engineering team for a period of 3 years, during which time all the supporting documents of the Financing Application were prepared (topographic studies, geotechnical studies, preliminary and definitive hydrogeological studies, traceability studies, urban works and structures, studies on drinking water and wastewater quality, cost-benefit analysis, institutional analysis, sludge management strategy, environmental impact assessment, hydraulic modeling study, procurement strategy, elaboration of Feasibility Study and documentation for obtaining approvals, agreements etc.) have been completed. Thus, we are glad to see that the most important and complex activity of the Project has been successfully completed, by signing the Financing Contract and we are ready to complete the other activities related to this project.
